Death was a Home Wrecker

“I always thought something like this brought family members closer together, but what it did was completely separate us. It was as if my mom was the glue that kept us all together.”

Before my mom died my family was extremely close. We spent weekends together and the holidays revolved around the family. Once my mom was gone our family pretty much fell apart. We didn’t know how to be a family unit without her. I guess you could call her the matriarch because we always followed her lead. When we stopped celebrating together my closest relatives became distant strangers. Since then, nothing has ever been the same. My mom's death was a Home Wrecker.
